Introduction
Our client is a growing small animal day practice seeking a feline-focused Associate Veterinarian to join its team. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available for a veterinarian with a particular interest in feline medicine who would value the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills alongside an experienced feline medicine specialist. The practice cares exclusively for small animals and offers a supportive, collaborative environment focused on high-quality patient care and professional development.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Wednesday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, Thursday from 8:00am to 7:00pm, Friday from 8:00am to 5:30pm, and Saturday from 8:00am to 1:00pm. The hospital is closed on Sundays. Scheduling is flexible and can be adapted to suit either full-time or part-time preferences, with a focus on work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will have the opportunity to focus on feline medicine while providing services including wellness and preventative care, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, and pain management. The role offers the opportunity to work alongside and learn from the hospital’s Director of Feline Medicine, a nationally recognized feline medicine expert, highly respected speaker, and former President and current board member of the AAFP. This provides a valuable clinical resource for a veterinarian looking to specialize in or further develop their expertise in feline medicine.

Practice Details
The practice is fully equipped with a complete in-house laboratory suite, digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound, high-speed dental equipment, and electronic medical records. Facilities include isolation rooms and dedicated spaces for dentistry and surgery. The hospital offers wellness care, diagnostics, surgery, spay and neuter procedures, dentistry, pain management, boarding and daycare, and grooming. Robust wellness plans support client compliance and encourage long-term patient health. The culture is supportive, community-focused, and passionate about delivering high-quality care while partnering with local shelters to help pets find permanent homes.

Team
The hospital is home to three veterinarians supported by a highly skilled team, maintaining a targeted 6:1 staff-to-doctor ratio. The veterinary team includes a Director of Feline Medicine who is a nationally recognized expert in feline medicine, a highly respected speaker, former President and current board member of the AAFP. The environment is collaborative and mentorship-focused, providing a particularly strong resource for a veterinarian interested in developing their feline medicine expertise.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
