Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing comprehensive veterinary care for dogs and cats in Maryville, Tennessee, and is seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join the team. The practice is open to both full-time and part-time applicants and is a well-established, full-service hospital offering medical, surgical, and dental care within a supportive, collaborative environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive veterinary care, including physical examinations, diagnosing and treating illnesses and injuries, preventive medicine, soft tissue surgery, orthopaedic procedures, and dentistry. Responsibilities include operating diagnostic equipment, collecting and interpreting diagnostic samples, developing appropriate treatment plans, prescribing medications, and educating clients on preventive care and treatment options. The role also involves providing end-of-life care guidance, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring compliance with veterinary ethics, policies, and procedures. There are opportunities to perform surgery and dental procedures daily, with no on-call requirements and rotating Saturday coverage. This position is specifically for an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
The hospital offers a comprehensive range of veterinary services, including routine wellness and preventive care, soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, dentistry, cold laser therapy, endoscopy, diagnostic imaging, laboratory testing, and boarding. Clinical equipment includes digital radiography, ultrasound, dental radiography, diagnostic laboratory capabilities, and cold laser therapy equipment. The hospital provides opportunities to practise general small animal medicine alongside more advanced surgical and dental procedures. Opening hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with the hospital closed on Sundays.

Team
The hospital has three DVMs and a great tenured support team. The working environment is collaborative and supportive, with well-trained veterinary staff assisting doctors across general medicine, surgery, and dentistry. The team places a strong emphasis on communication, teamwork, compassionate patient care, and delivering an excellent client experience.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
