Job Description

An established and thriving small animal veterinary practice is seeking a compassionate and dedicated veterinarian to join their team. The practice primarily focuses on small animals but is open to accommodating pocket pets and exotics. The hospital is extremely busy and is looking for either one full-time veterinarian or is open to part-time arrangements. The current team consists of one full-time doctor, two per diem doctors, and three full-time veterinary technicians. The practice welcomes new clients and puppies with 30-minute appointments, while most other appointments are typically 15 minutes. However, they offer flexibility for 30-minute appointments for sick, new, or puppy patients as needed. The practice offers a wide range of advanced services and diagnostic capabilities, including certified acupuncture, laser therapy, herbal therapy, and food therapy. There are also on-site grooming services available. State-of-the-art equipment includes digital X-ray and dental X-ray, ultrasound, CO2 lasers, and an in-house laboratory (IDEXX). The clinic features two well-equipped exam rooms and uses a hybrid Avimark software system that accommodates both paper and electronic records. The clinic prides itself on being cat-friendly, although it is not officially certified. It is a privately owned practice with a loyal, long-standing clientele built over the last six years. Full-time veterinarians work a 35-40 hour work week with one hour for lunch each day. The schedule runs Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with extended hours on Thursday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and requires one to two Saturdays per month.
