Job Description

Introduction
Our client is an AAHA-accredited companion animal hospital seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join its growing team. The practice exclusively cares for dogs and cats and has been part of its local community since 1990. The hospital focuses on providing individualized, high-quality care in as stress-free a manner as possible, taking the time to address clients’ concerns and provide care tailored to each patient.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive small animal general practice care across a varied caseload, with services including wellness care, dentistry, surgery, behavioral consultations, radiology, laboratory diagnostics, laser therapy, microchipping and end-of-life care. The role offers clinical freedom and the opportunity to focus on practicing high-quality medicine within a collaborative environment. For a veterinarian interested in progressing into leadership, there is also the potential to move into a Medical Director position in the future.

Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA accredited and operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., remaining closed on Saturdays and Sundays. The practice is well equipped and provides a broad range of services including wellness care, behavioral consultations, dentistry, surgery, microchipping, laser therapy, radiology, laboratory services and end-of-life care. The hospital is well staffed and focuses on individualized patient care, low-stress veterinary visits and ensuring clients have sufficient time to discuss their concerns. The practice has served its community for more than three decades and offers an environment centred around high-quality medicine, clinical freedom and continued professional growth.

Team
The hospital has a team of four DVMs and is described as well staffed, with a collaborative working environment. The practice is looking for a veterinarian who will contribute to the continued growth of the hospital, with opportunities for further professional development and potential progression into a Medical Director role for a doctor with an interest in leadership.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
