Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital located in Mankato, Minnesota, hiring an Associate Veterinarian to join their established and progressive team. This companion animal practice provides care to dogs, cats, and small mammals and operates from a newly expanded and renovated facility.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm and is closed on weekends. Emergency and urgent care cases are handled during regular business hours.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for providing high-quality care across a wide range of services including routine exams, vaccinations, internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, chiropractic care, and urgent care. The position requires a minimum of one year of clinical experience and strong diagnostic, surgical, and dental skills. This role involves collaboration with fellow veterinarians and support staff, with direct reporting to the Hospital and Regional Managers.
Practice Details
The hospital is well-equipped with digital radiography, digital dental X-rays, ultrasound, surgical and cold lasers, and a full in-house laboratory featuring Idexx lab machines. Additional services include acupuncture, chiropractic care, and treatment of small mammals. The clinic emphasizes advanced diagnostics and a full spectrum of medical and surgical care, supported by a feline-friendly design and dedicated exotics equipment.
Team
The team includes three DVMs supported by an experienced and positive group of technicians and support staff. The practice culture prioritizes collaboration, compassionate care, and a strong team dynamic.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
