Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital looking to hire a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their well-established, family-based general practice. Caring for cats and dogs, the practice has been serving the community since 1952 and offers an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive team within a modern clinical environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of GP responsibilities, managing a varied companion animal caseload while delivering high-quality preventive, medical, and surgical care. You will work closely with clients and the wider veterinary team to provide excellent patient outcomes and build lasting client relationships. The position offers a 30-hour working week, Monday through Friday, with no after-hours emergencies or weekend shifts, supporting an excellent work-life balance. Applications are welcomed from both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday from 8:00am to 7:30pm, Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:00am to 5:30pm, Thursday from 8:00am to 7:30pm, and Friday from 8:00am to 5:30pm. The practice provides the full scope of GP services alongside Urgent Care, offering a varied and rewarding caseload. The hospital is equipped with, but not limited to, digital X-rays including dental radiography, a Mindray Vetus 7 ultrasound, and an in-house laboratory to support advanced diagnostics and treatment. Housed within a modern, purpose-built facility built in 2011, the practice features four exam rooms, a comfort room, and separate cat and dog kennels, creating a welcoming environment for both patients and clients.

Team
You will be joining a collaborative team that includes two owner veterinarians with university internship training, a practice manager with 28 years of experience, two certified veterinary technicians, and skilled veterinary assistants. Together, the team works closely to provide exceptional patient care while maintaining a supportive and positive workplace environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
