Introduction
Our client is a small animal general practice hospital in Manchester, Connecticut, providing full-service veterinary care for cats and dogs. They are seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join the practice on a full-time basis. The hospital focuses on high-quality medicine, wellness care, and developing lasting relationships with clients while providing continuity of care throughout every stage of a pet’s life.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive veterinary care with a clinical focus on wellness and sick examinations, preventive medicine, dentistry, diagnostics, general surgery, and nutritional and weight management. The role involves delivering reliable ongoing care, managing illness, and supporting patients through preventive visits while developing strong and trusted relationships with clients. The successful veterinarian will have a passion for quality medicine and wellness care, excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a collaborative approach to veterinary medicine. This position is specifically for an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
The hospital provides full-service care with an approach that considers the relationship between environment, nutrition, genetic makeup, symptoms, and disease processes when managing patient health. Services include wellness and sick examinations, vaccinations, flea and tick prevention, spays and neuters, blood, urine and fecal testing, preventive dental care, diagnostic testing, general surgery, and nutritional and weight management. The practice emphasizes a healthy working environment alongside continued learning and professional growth. Hospital hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM–6:00 PM and Friday from 8:30 AM–5:00 PM.

Team
The hospital has seven DVMs and a great tenured support team. The environment is collaborative and team-oriented, with an emphasis on trust, care, communication, learning, growth, and supporting team members in reaching their long-term professional goals.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
