Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a small animal hospital that has been serving the community since 2011 and is hiring an Associate Veterinarian. The hospital sees dogs and cats and is open to both full-time and part-time candidates. This opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian looking to join a practice committed to delivering high quality medicine while supporting patients through every stage of their health journey.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide a wide range of medical services, including wellness and preventative care, urgent care, advanced surgical procedures, and diagnostics. The practice is equipped to handle complex medical cases and is focused on delivering sophisticated medical care with a strong emphasis on patient success. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a devoted team in a collaborative clinical environment. The hospital is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates. Mentorship is available for new graduates looking to refine their clinical skills and develop professionally. The schedule is flexible, with weekday shifts required, while the hospital remains closed on weekends. The team is open to discussing both full-time and part-time arrangements.
Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm and is closed on weekends. The facility is equipped with radiology, in-house bloodwork capabilities, and surgical equipment to support a broad range of medical services. The practice handles both routine wellness care and more advanced medical cases, offering services including surgery, dentistry, endocrinology, pain management, behavioural therapy, urgent care, and comprehensive diagnostics. The team works within a facility designed to support sophisticated testing and advanced care while maintaining a strong focus on preventative medicine and patient wellbeing. In addition to clinical services, the hospital is deeply involved in the community, working closely with wildlife rehabilitations, animal shelters, and community service projects. They also provide treatment for service dogs at no cost.
Team
The hospital currently has 2 veterinarians supported by a well-tenured hospital manager and support staff. The environment is collaborative and focused on mentorship, professional development, and teamwork. The practice believes strongly in supporting teammates to help both individuals and patients succeed. Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
