Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a practice seeking a Part-Time Associate Veterinarian to join their AAHA-accredited, canine-only hospital. This modern small animal clinic focuses exclusively on dogs and delivers high-quality, dog-centered care within a collaborative and supportive environment. The practice is dedicated to preventive medicine, advanced surgical services, and maintaining strong client relationships while promoting work-life balance.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 5:30pm and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. This is a part-time position with no weekend requirements, supporting a schedule designed to promote work-life balance.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide preventive, medical, and surgical care exclusively to canine patients. Clinical responsibilities include comprehensive wellness exams, vaccinations, age- and breed-specific laboratory testing, heartworm and parasite screening, dentistry including dental radiographs and professional treatment, general and advanced soft tissue surgery such as spays, neuters, gastropexy, abdominal exploratory procedures, anal gland surgery, ocular surgery, and mass removal. The role may also include advanced orthopedic procedures such as TPLO, LFS, FHO, and patellar surgery depending on experience. The veterinarian will collaborate closely with a skilled technical team and fellow DVMs, provide clear and compassionate client communication, and contribute to a team-oriented culture. Both new graduates and experienced veterinarians are welcome, with mentorship available.
Practice Details
This AAHA-accredited, canine-only hospital operates in a state-of-the-art facility equipped with ultrasound, Cuattro DR digital radiography, specialized dental equipment with dental radiographs, and advanced surgical capabilities. The practice offers preventive care and wellness services, dentistry, general and advanced soft tissue surgery, orthopedic surgery, and specialized services including acupuncture, neurology consultations, endoscopy, ultrasound, and internal medicine consultations through collaboration with local specialists. The culture emphasizes teamwork, quality of life, and focused canine care within a modern and well-supported clinical setting.
Team

Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
