Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a small animal general practice hiring for an Associate Veterinarian to join their dedicated team. This role is suited to an experienced veterinarian who enjoys working in a general practice environment, delivering high-quality medical and surgical care across a varied caseload.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position. The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Specific doctor hours will align with these opening hours.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian is responsible for delivering high-quality medical and surgical care to a diverse caseload. This includes conducting thorough physical examinations, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, performing routine surgical procedures, utilising diagnostic tools effectively, and developing and managing appropriate treatment plans. The role involves maintaining accurate and timely medical records, communicating clearly and compassionately with clients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and patient progress, and working collaboratively with veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes. The Associate Veterinarian is expected to uphold clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards while demonstrating a commitment to continuous professional development and best practice veterinary medicine. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
The practice is equipped with bloodwork and laboratory testing capabilities, digital radiology, ultrasound imaging, and an in-house laboratory to support efficient diagnostics and high-quality patient care. The clinic has been delivering compassionate care to pets and families in the area for 34 years and provides a range of services including wellness care and exams, dental care, diagnostics and imaging, spay and neuter procedures, parasite prevention, and deworming.

Team
The veterinary team consists of two DVMs supported by a dedicated and supportive support staff. The environment is collaborative and welcoming, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, open communication, and creating a positive workplace where clinicians feel supported in delivering excellent patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
