Our client is a hospital providing care for cats and dogs and is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their team in Lyons, New York. This small animal general practice focuses on canine and feline wellness, sick patient care, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and preventative medicine. Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical care for canine and feline patients, including wellness examinations, sick and illness appointments, preventative care, diagnostic investigations, surgical procedures, and dentistry. The role involves working closely with pet owners to provide education and treatment recommendations while maintaining high standards of patient care. Strong communication skills and a positive attitude are important components of the position. This opportunity is intended for experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
This full-service small animal hospital provides comprehensive veterinary care for dogs and cats throughout all stages of life. Services offered include pet wellness and sickness examinations, vaccinations, heartworm prevention, flea and tick prevention, spay and neuter procedures, blood, urine and faecal testing, diagnostic testing, surgery, nail trims, and end-of-life care. The practice is dedicated to delivering professional, friendly, and personalised veterinary care while fostering strong client relationships. The hospital promotes a culture centred on trust, care, accountability, learning, growth, and professional development. Hospital hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and every other Saturday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

The hospital is staffed by 4 DVMs and a great tenured support team. The environment is collaborative and supportive, with a strong focus on teamwork, communication, and helping staff achieve their long-term professional goals.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
