Job Description

Introduction
A well-established small animal hospital in Lynnwood, Washington is looking to hire an Associate Veterinarian. Providing care for dogs and cats, the hospital has a strong General Practice offering and gives its veterinarians access to a broad range of medical, diagnostic and surgical capabilities. There’s a real emphasis on teamwork within the hospital, while access to a much wider veterinary network provides another layer of clinical knowledge and specialist support when it’s useful.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of General Practice responsibilities, giving you the opportunity to take ownership of a varied caseload and remain closely involved throughout your patients’ care. You’ll work across general medicine, diagnostics, internal medicine, surgery and dentistry, with plenty of opportunity to make use of the hospital’s wider clinical capabilities depending on your individual cases and interests. The team includes veterinarians with interests across areas such as surgery, urgent care, internal medicine, diagnostics, dermatology, oncology and behavior, creating a nice environment for sharing knowledge and talking through more involved cases with colleagues. Practice Details
The hospital provides a full scope of GP services, alongside additional areas including acupuncture and behavioral counseling. Equipment and clinical infrastructure available include, but are not limited to, Radiography, Dental Radiography, an In-House Laboratory, EKG capabilities, an In-House Pharmacy, an In-Office Surgical Suite and an Isolation Ward, giving the team plenty of resources to manage a varied caseload within the hospital. Hospitalization is also available for patients requiring continued monitoring and medical care. The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM, Saturday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays.

Team
You’ll be joining a team of 6 DVMs, including a Medical Director, alongside an established group of veterinary assistants, credentialed veterinary technicians, technician assistants, client service professionals and hospital management. It’s a team that puts a lot of value on working well together, with collaboration very much part of the day-to-day culture rather than everyone simply managing cases in isolation. There’s a good range of clinical interests and experience across the veterinary team, giving you colleagues to bounce ideas off and learn from, while the wider support team helps keep clinical workflows running smoothly and allows the doctors to stay focused on their patients.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
