Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a well-established veterinary hospital in Fairleigh, Kentucky, seeking an Associate Veterinarian. This multi-doctor practice provides care for small animals, including both wellness and sick patients, in a collaborative and supportive environment. The hospital encourages new graduates to apply and offers dedicated mentorship.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, with Saturday hours available by arrangement, and is closed on Sundays. This is a full-time position with flexible scheduling to support work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The role involves providing high-quality veterinary care across general medicine, preventive care, diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, anesthesia, and pain management. Veterinarians will also manage chronic conditions such as canine and feline diabetes, provide nutritional and behavior counseling, and support preventive medicine programs including vaccinations and parasite control. The position is open to veterinarians at all experience levels, with mentorship provided for students and new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with advanced technology, including digital radiography, dental x-rays, Tonopen, in-office surgical suite, in-house pharmacy, and laboratory services. Facilities support a broad range of services, including wellness exams, routine and advanced surgeries, anesthesia, dental care, pain management, preventive care, and specialized programs for geriatric pets and pets with chronic conditions. The practice culture emphasizes collaboration, patient-centered care, and professional growth.

Team
The hospital has a team of three veterinarians supported by credentialed technicians, assistants, and client service staff. The environment is collaborative, mentorship-focused, and encourages veterinarians to develop their skills and pursue areas of clinical interest.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
