Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their AAHA-accredited small animal practice. The hospital provides comprehensive veterinary care for dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, mice, rats, and ZooMED species and is equipped with modern technology to support high-quality medicine in a collaborative environment.
Working Hours / Rota
The current hospital hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. The role is offered as full-time preferred, with part-time availability also considered. Weekend coverage is required on a rotating basis.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive care ranging from routine wellness services to advanced medical cases and surgery. Clinical focus areas include soft tissue surgery, dentistry, general surgery, radiology, ultrasound, anesthesia, emergency care, and routine procedures. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with dedicated mentorship available for early-career doctors.
Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA-accredited and equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, hands-free radiology systems, an in-house laboratory, an in-house pharmacy, and an in-office surgical suite. Services offered include allergy and itchy skin relief, anesthesia, dental care, dentistry, emergency care, general surgery, health exams, radiology, routine surgeries, spays and neuters, and comprehensive primary care. The clinic maintains a supportive and collaborative culture and is committed to using fear-free techniques whenever possible.
Team
The hospital team consists of 2 DVMs and 9 support staff working together in a dynamic, collaborative environment that supports professional growth and mentorship.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
