Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a modern small animal hospital seeking a Full-Time Associate Veterinarian to join its team. Caring for dogs and cats, the practice provides comprehensive primary and preventative veterinary medicine alongside urgent care, diagnostics, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical, surgical, and preventative care while building strong relationships with clients through clear communication and education. Responsibilities include performing comprehensive physical examinations, diagnosing and treating illnesses and injuries, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, interpreting diagnostic tests, and performing routine soft tissue surgeries and dentistry where applicable.
The veterinarian will also maintain accurate medical records, promote preventative healthcare, follow hospital protocols, and collaborate with the wider veterinary team to ensure a high standard of patient care while contributing to a positive, supportive, and team-oriented working environment.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, with select weekends.
The facility supports primary care, urgent care, diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, and pharmacy services. Diagnostic capabilities include X-rays, bloodwork, urinalysis, and other diagnostic testing, alongside full-mouth dental radiography. A fully equipped surgical suite supports soft tissue procedures, with surgical patients receiving general anesthesia, continuous monitoring, pain management, and individualized recovery plans.
A broad range of primary and preventative veterinary services includes wellness examinations, vaccinations, parasite prevention, nutritional support, treatment of allergies and ear infections, chronic disease management, puppy and kitten care, and individualized care throughout a pet’s life. Senior pet care includes routine screening, pain and mobility management, and lifestyle support.
Same-day and next-day urgent care is available for non-life-threatening conditions requiring prompt attention, including minor injuries, sudden changes in appetite or behavior, and signs of acute illness. Comprehensive dentistry includes anaesthetized dental cleanings, full-mouth dental radiographs, and extractions, alongside soft tissue surgery performed within the surgical suite.
A full-service pharmacy provides prescription medications, preventatives, and prescription diets, with in-clinic collection or home delivery available. Clients can also access 24/7 virtual veterinary care for general questions, triage, and guidance on whether their pet requires an in-person examination.
The practice combines physical veterinary care with a technology-focused model. Clients can book appointments and access care through an app, with same-day and next-day appointments offered where available. Transparent upfront pricing also allows clients to understand the cost of recommended treatment before proceeding.

Team
The hospital is home to four DVMs who bring a varied mix of experience and clinical interests to the practice. The Lead Veterinarian has more than 15 years of veterinary experience and places particular importance on mentorship and collaboration within the hospital environment. Another veterinarian has a specific interest in feline medicine, while the wider team focuses on individualized treatment planning and collaborative patient care.
