Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing comprehensive veterinary care to a diverse caseload. They are currently hiring for an Associate Veterinarian to join their established clinical team. The hospital treats a wide range of species including avians, cats, dogs, pocket pets, rabbits, reptiles, and ZooMED patients.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, and Saturday to Sunday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. The role is available on either a full-time or part-time basis, offering flexibility to suit different working preferences.

Role Description and Responsibilities
In this role, you will deliver high-quality primary veterinary care across a broad caseload, including routine consultations, preventative healthcare, diagnostics, and medical case management. You will perform soft-tissue surgeries and dental procedures, interpret laboratory results and imaging, and develop clear, effective treatment plans tailored to each patient. The position involves working collaboratively with experienced veterinary nurses and support staff, maintaining accurate clinical records, and providing excellent client communication around diagnoses, treatment options, and ongoing care. Both experienced veterinarians and new graduates are encouraged to apply, with dedicated mentorship provided to support professional development.

Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA accredited and equipped to support a high standard of clinical care. Facilities and equipment include hands-free radiology, digital radiology, ultrasound, EKG, laser surgery, a Tonopen, and an in-house laboratory. Clinical services offered include dentistry, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and health certificates, enabling veterinarians to manage a varied and engaging caseload within a well-supported environment.

Team
The veterinary team consists of four doctors supported by 21 support staff, including three Registered Veterinary Technicians. The team works in a collaborative environment with a strong focus on support, communication, and high-quality patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
