Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join their team, providing care for cats and dogs. The practice delivers comprehensive veterinary services and is looking for a veterinarian committed to providing high-quality medicine while supporting the wellbeing of pets and their owners.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The role is open to either full-time or part-time candidates.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for providing high-quality medical, surgical, and preventive care to a varied caseload of patients. This includes conducting thorough examinations, diagnosing and treating illnesses, interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing appropriate treatment plans. Responsibilities include performing routine surgical procedures, delivering preventive care and vaccinations, managing medical cases, prescribing medications, and maintaining accurate medical records in line with regulatory standards. The role also involves communicating clearly and compassionately with clients, collaborating with the clinical team to ensure efficient patient care, and participating in ongoing professional development to maintain clinical excellence. This position is open to experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
This full-service pet hospital provides preventive, medical, and emergency services for cats and dogs in Echo Park and the surrounding areas. The hospital delivers comprehensive veterinary care and has been serving the Echo Park community since 1985, building a reputation for quality, professional care with a compassionate approach. The practice offers a wide range of veterinary services designed to support pets throughout every stage of life, including wellness exams, vaccinations, dental care, and geriatric care. In-house diagnostic services support accurate and efficient patient assessment, with capabilities including digital radiography, bloodwork, urinalysis, fecal exams, and an in-house laboratory and veterinary pharmacy. Surgical services are also provided, with procedures including soft tissue surgery, spaying and neutering, C-sections, ocular procedures, mass removals, foreign body surgery, wound repair, and dental surgery.

Team
The team consists of two DVMs supported by a dedicated group of veterinary technicians and support staff. The environment is collaborative and supportive, with team members working closely together to deliver excellent patient care while maintaining a positive and team-focused workplace culture.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
