Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian. This teaching hospital emphasizes mentorship, collaboration, and ongoing learning. They provide general practice services for dogs and cats and pride themselves on their supportive and inclusive culture.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday to Sunday from 08:00 am to 06:00 pm. This is a full-time position.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide general practice services for dogs and cats. Duties include surgery, dentistry, radiology interpretation, and clinical consultation. The role is best suited for an experienced veterinarian who enjoys mentorship and supporting the growth of others.
Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with mobile ultrasound, digital X-ray machines for both full-body and dental radiographs, IDEXX in-house diagnostic machines, and Imagyst. Facilities include diagnostic imaging, ultrasound, and dental X-rays. Services offered include vaccinations and prevention, routine exams, dental care, acupuncture, internal medicine, surgical services including soft tissue surgery and spay and neuter procedures, geriatrics, and puppy and kitten care. The team also includes Fear Free Certified staff trained to create a calm and welcoming environment for pets.
Team
There are 5 DVMs and a great support team. The practice maintains a 3:1 staff-to-doctor ratio to ensure high-quality care and a collaborative environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
