Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a veterinary clinic that has served a longstanding clientele within the greater Longview, TX community for over 25 years. They are seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join the practice, with the opportunity to focus exclusively on small animal medicine or combine a small animal caseload with equine work. The clinic sees cats, dogs and equine patients.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide a full scope of general practice care, with 30-minute appointments allowing dedicated time for each patient. The position can be tailored toward small animal medicine or a combination of small animal and equine work. On-call responsibilities are approximately once per month. Doctor hours are open to discussion, with no weekend shifts required. This opportunity is suited to an experienced veterinarian.
Practice Details
The clinic provides a full scope of general practice services, including wellness and preventative care, internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery and dentistry. The practice operates from a freestanding facility with a newly built barn and six stalls. Opening hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 7:30am–5:30pm, and Tuesday from 7:30am–6:15pm. The clinic is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
Team
The practice is home to a team of three DVMs, supported by a great team of support staff.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
