Job Description

Introduction
A progressive equine veterinary practice in Longmont, Colorado is seeking a full-time General Practice Equine Veterinarian to join its established and forward-thinking clinical team. With six veterinarians on site, including experienced specialists, this is an excellent setting for an equine clinician who values collaboration, modern diagnostics, and practising evidence-based medicine with strong professional support.

Working Hours / Rota
Appointments are scheduled Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. The rota is designed to support sustainable workloads and a balanced lifestyle, with reasonable and well-managed on-call expectations. This is a full-time position with flexibility built around case flow and team coverage.

Role Description and Responsibilities
In this role, you will deliver comprehensive general practice equine care with a strong emphasis on preventative medicine, sports medicine, and lameness evaluation. The caseload allows for in-depth workups and continuity of care, supported by excellent diagnostic capabilities. You will work closely with fellow veterinarians and support staff, contributing to collaborative case discussions and maintaining clear, professional communication with clients. The position is well suited to both confident early-career veterinarians seeking structured mentorship and experienced practitioners looking to practise high-quality ambulatory equine medicine within a supportive team.

Practice Details
The practice is well equipped to support efficient, high-level equine diagnostics and treatment in the field and clinic setting. Available tools include digital radiography, ultrasound, video endoscopy, and in-house laboratory testing to allow for timely decision-making and improved outcomes. Fully stocked ambulatory vehicles support effective field-based practice, with access to advanced diagnostics and referral pathways when cases require additional input.

Team
You will be joining a six-veterinarian team that includes clinicians with specialist expertise, creating a collaborative environment where knowledge-sharing and mentorship are embedded in daily practice. The wider support team is experienced and well utilised, enabling veterinarians to focus on clinical decision-making and client care. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
