Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join their team, providing care for cats and dogs. The practice is dedicated to delivering high-quality veterinary medicine and compassionate service while supporting the health and wellbeing of pets and their owners.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. The position offers flexibility, with both full-time and part-time schedules available.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for providing high-quality medical, surgical, and preventive care to a varied caseload of patients. This includes conducting thorough examinations, diagnosing and treating illnesses, interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing appropriate treatment plans. Responsibilities involve performing routine surgical procedures, delivering preventive care and vaccinations, managing medical cases, prescribing medications, and maintaining accurate medical records in line with regulatory standards. The role also requires clear and compassionate communication with clients, ensuring pet owners understand diagnoses, treatment plans, and ongoing care needs. You will collaborate closely with the clinical team to ensure efficient patient care while participating in ongoing professional development to maintain clinical excellence. This position is open to experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
For over 60 years, this veterinary hospital has been proudly providing families and their beloved pets with quality veterinary care. The practice offers a wide range of veterinary services designed to keep pets healthy throughout every stage of life, including wellness exams, vaccinations and preventive care, internal medicine, dental care, senior pet care, and care for puppies and kittens. Diagnostic capabilities include digital radiography, ultrasound, bloodwork, urinalysis, fecal exams, ECG/EKG, and an in-house laboratory to support accurate and efficient patient assessment. The hospital also performs a variety of surgical procedures, ranging from routine spaying and neutering to more complex operations such as soft tissue surgery, C-sections, ocular procedures, mass removals, foreign body surgery, wound repair, orthopedic surgery, tibial tuberosity advancement (TTA), and dental surgery.

Team
The team includes three DVMs supported by a dedicated group of veterinary technicians and support staff who work together in a collaborative environment. The team focuses on maintaining a supportive workplace where communication, teamwork, and a shared commitment to excellent patient care are central to daily operations.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
