Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for an Associate Veterinarian to join their AAHA-accredited GP clinic. They provide comprehensive care for cats and dogs and support a mixture of wellness and sick-patient cases, serving the communities of Littleton, Grant Ranch, Dakota Ridge and Ken Caryl Valley since 2007.
Working Hours / Rota
This position can be full-time or part-time. The hospital is open Monday through Thursday from 7:00am to 7:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am to 4:00pm, and it is closed on Sundays. The role requires four 10-hour shifts along with one to two Saturdays per month depending on rotation and vacation requests.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will focus on providing general practice care that includes wellness, sick-patient visits, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, internal medicine and use of advanced diagnostics such as digital radiology, in-house laboratory testing, ultrasound and advanced anesthesia. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with dedicated mentorship available.
Practice Details
The hospital offers a modern clinical environment supported by a wide range of veterinary technology and services. Equipment includes digital radiology, in-house laboratories, ultrasound, Tonopen, cold laser therapy and EKG. Facilities include an in-office surgical suite and hospitalization capabilities. The hospital is AAHA-accredited and provides an extensive list of services across advanced care, primary care, preventive care and alternative medicine, including ophthalmology, orthopedic surgery, internal medicine, cardiology, anesthesia, dentistry, general surgery, pain management, acupuncture and more. The practice maintains a collaborative culture and uses fear-free techniques whenever possible.
Team
The hospital has three DVMs supported by a strong support team, creating a collaborative environment where mentorship and teamwork are prioritized.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
