Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital in west Little Rock, Arkansas, currently seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their established and collaborative team. This small animal practice is committed to providing exceptional care to its patients and values strong communication, compassion, and teamwork.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. It is closed on Sundays. The position is available as either a four-day workweek at full-time or on a part time basis. Emergencies and urgent care cases are seen during regular business hours.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The role includes a wide range of clinical responsibilities, with a focus on soft tissue surgery, spaying and neutering, mass removals, wound care, and dental procedures. Preventative care, diagnostics, internal medicine, and routine wellness are also part of the caseload. The practice emphasizes autonomy in medicine and supports continued learning. This role is ideal for experienced veterinarians with strong communication skills and a desire to work in a supportive, collaborative setting.
Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with an in-house laboratory, digital radiography, ultrasound, cytology, bloodwork, urinalysis, and fecal exam capabilities. Additional services include vaccinations and prevention, microchipping, routine exams, internal medicine, dental care, geriatric services, and care for puppies and kittens. The facility is modern, spacious, and designed to support high-quality medicine in a comfortable environment.
Team
The team includes 2 DVMs who together bring over 20 years of experience to the clinic, creating a supportive and stable environment for both clients and staff. The practice culture is highly collaborative, emphasizing mentorship, communication, and mutual respect.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
