Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a full-service small animal hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its team on either a full-time or part-time basis. The hospital provides comprehensive veterinary care for cats and dogs, with services spanning wellness and preventative care, dentistry, surgery, diagnostics, urgent care, and end-of-life care. The opportunity is open to veterinarians at all levels of experience, including new graduates, within an established and collaborative practice.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical and surgical care for small animal patients, including conducting examinations, assessing patient health, diagnosing medical conditions, treating and dressing wounds, performing surgery, testing for and vaccinating against disease, prescribing medications, and operating diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines. The role also involves advising owners on general care, medical conditions, and treatment options while working collaboratively with other members of the hospital team to provide high-quality patient care. New graduates are welcome and will have access to mentorship, while experienced veterinarians are also encouraged to apply.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with Saturday availability dependent on the doctor schedule and the hospital closed on Sundays. The full-service practice features a modern surgical suite alongside digital radiography, ultrasound, anesthesia equipment, dental equipment, an on-site pharmacy, and laboratory and diagnostic capabilities. Services include wellness care, dentistry, surgery, diagnostics, urgent care, end-of-life and hospice care, laboratory services, microchipping, nutritional support, pharmacy services, grooming, and dog training. The practice provides a varied small animal caseload and places an emphasis on comprehensive veterinary care alongside a positive work-life balance.

Team
The hospital has three DVMs supported by an experienced and tenured support team. The team is described as friendly, collaborative, and team-oriented, with veterinarians and support staff working closely together to provide high-quality care for patients and their owners. The practice places importance on maintaining an enjoyable professional environment and supporting work-life balance.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
