Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring an Associate Veterinarian to join their mixed animal practice. This opportunity offers either full-time or part-time employment across two well-established sister hospitals in Illinois. The practice is seeking a veterinarian who enjoys building client relationships, mentoring teammates, and practicing high-quality medicine within a collaborative and well-supported environment. The role offers exposure to a diverse caseload spanning companion animals, bovine and small ruminants, equine, and swine medicine.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will perform physical examinations, diagnose and treat medical conditions, dress wounds, perform surgical procedures, administer vaccinations, operate diagnostic equipment including radiography and ultrasound, prescribe medications, and provide client education. The caseload includes wellness care, sick visits, surgery, dentistry, and preventative medicine. Large animal responsibilities may include reproductive services, herd health consultations, processing procedures, diagnostic services, and emergency care. The practice welcomes both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, while also valuing candidates with an interest in mentorship and team collaboration.

Practice Details
This mixed animal practice provides veterinary care across two sister hospitals and offers a broad range of services for companion animals and livestock. Equipment includes digital radiography, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory testing capabilities. Companion animal services include vaccinations, dentistry, deworming, microchipping, spay and neuter procedures, preventative care, diagnostics, and surgery. Large animal services include bovine and small ruminant processing, reproductive services, pregnancy examinations, herd health consultations, haul-in facilities, diagnostic services, surgical procedures, and emergency care. Equine services include wellness care, vaccinations, deworming, dental care, and emergency services. Swine services include herd health consultations, diagnostics, and surgical procedures. The practice offers a flexible full-time or part-time schedule with some Saturday coverage and serves an established, loyal client base in a stable and supportive environment. Hospital hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and closed Tuesday and Sunday.

The practice has 3 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team. The culture is collaborative and team-oriented, with strong technician and support staff assistance and a focus on mentorship, communication, and high-quality patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
