Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital seeking a Medical Director to join their team in a full-time position. The hospital provides care for cats and dogs and is looking for an experienced veterinarian to lead the team while continuing to deliver exceptional patient care.
Role Description and Responsibilities
As Medical Director, you will be responsible for managing and leading the veterinary team while maintaining your own clinical caseload. You will lead by example, providing high-quality veterinary medicine and supporting the team in delivering excellent patient care. The hospital is open to discussing scheduling preferences with the successful candidate. This opportunity is suited to an experienced veterinarian with a passion for clinical leadership.
Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. It is AAHA accredited and offers a range of services including soft tissue surgery, acupuncture, behaviour, preventative medicine, dentistry, pain management, and more. The practice is fully equipped with an in-house laboratory, digital radiology, dental radiology, endoscopy, laser surgery, and ultrasonography to support the delivery of high-quality veterinary care.
Team
The team consists of five DVMs, eight Veterinary Assistants, a Hospital Manager, and four Client Service Representatives who work together to provide excellent care for their patients.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
