Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a veterinary practice hiring for a Large Animal Associate Veterinarian. This is a highly progressive and expanding herd-health focused practice, offering an excellent opportunity to work within livestock production while developing clinical and consultative expertise.

Working Hours / Rota
The role follows a full-time schedule, working Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The position involves herd health visits, training client employees, data management, and consultative work with producers. The veterinarian will focus on preventative medicine, diagnostics, and supporting livestock operations through informed decision-making and tailored care strategies. There is a strong emphasis on developing clinical skills with the support of experienced mentors, and the role is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
This is a herd-health focused practice providing a wide range of services including herd health and preventative medicine, diagnostics, telehealth veterinary services, regulatory services, records management, working facility consultation, and emergency referrals. The practice collaborates with industry partners to deliver comprehensive care and solutions, with a strong focus on client profitability and operational success. The environment is progressive, collaborative, and centred on supporting both clients and veterinarians in achieving long-term success.

Team
The team consists of 12 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team, creating a diverse, experienced, and collaborative environment.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
