Introduction
Our client is a full-service mixed animal hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their dedicated team in Leighton. The practice provides comprehensive veterinary care to a diverse caseload including cats, dogs, birds, exotic species, and large animals such as horses, cattle, sheep, goats, and pigs. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinarian who enjoys variety in their day, values high-quality medicine, and wants to work in a supportive environment with a strong focus on patient care and work-life balance.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and is closed on weekends, offering an excellent schedule for maintaining work-life balance. There are no out-of-hours or weekend responsibilities, and the practice is open to discussing both full-time and part-time schedules to suit individual preferences.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you will provide comprehensive veterinary care across a varied mixed-animal caseload. Your responsibilities will include performing thorough physical examinations, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, interpreting diagnostic results, carrying out surgical procedures, and delivering clear, compassionate client communication and education. This role is suited to an experienced DVM with at least one year of clinical experience, who is confident in diagnostics and surgery and enjoys working with a wide range of species.

Practice Details
The hospital is fully equipped to support high-quality veterinary medicine, including radiology and modern diagnostic tools to ensure effective and timely patient care. As a walk-in full-service animal hospital, services include vaccinations and preventative care, routine examinations, geriatric care, puppy and kitten care, surgery, internal medicine, dentistry, and more, providing a diverse and engaging caseload across multiple species.

Team
You will be joining a close-knit team of two veterinarians, supported by a highly skilled and dedicated support staff. The culture is collaborative and team-oriented, with everyone working together to deliver excellent patient care in a positive and supportive environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
