Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a Lead Equine Veterinarian to join their established practice. This is a full-time position working exclusively with equine patients. The clinic has been serving the equestrian community for over 65 years and is one of the largest equine-focused practices in the region, offering a loyal client base and a strong reputation for high-quality care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Lead Equine Veterinarian will provide comprehensive clinical care across a diverse equine caseload, including lameness diagnosis and treatment, internal medicine, wellness and preventative care, and pre-purchase exams. The role also includes emergency and critical care responsibilities, with both ambulatory and in-clinic work. In addition to clinical duties, the position offers leadership responsibilities, including influencing medical standards and supporting team growth within a collaborative environment. Doctor hours follow a full-time schedule with emergency coverage requirements. The role is suited to experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and is closed on weekends, with 24/7 ambulatory and in-clinic emergency services available. The practice is equipped with advanced diagnostic tools including digital radiography, ultrasound, and endoscopy, and offers progressive treatments such as regenerative therapies and biologics. Services include internal medicine, diagnostic imaging, wellness and preventative care, lameness evaluation, pre-purchase exams, laboratory testing and screening, therapies and treatments, and emergency care. The practice provides a balanced mix of ambulatory and hospital-based work within a well-established and respected equine-focused setting.

Team
The team consists of four DVMs supported by a collaborative environment with strong support staff, emphasizing teamwork, clinical excellence, and shared responsibility for patient care and emergency coverage.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
