Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital in Lebanon, CT, seeking a veterinarian to join their growing team. The hospital provides care primarily for cats and dogs and combines a small-town, community-centered atmosphere with advanced veterinary care. The practice recently added a brand-new wellness center to enhance preventive care and foster stress-free visits.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday 8:30 am – 8:00 pm, Tuesday 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, Wednesday 8:30 am – 8:00 pm, Thursday 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, Saturday 8:30 am – 1:00 pm, and Sunday closed. The role offers a balanced schedule of 4-5 shifts per week with rotating weekends. Specific doctor hours are open to discussion, and the hospital offers both full-time and part-time options.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The veterinarian will provide full general practice responsibilities, with the flexibility to focus on primary care, urgent care, or a combination of both. The hospital emphasizes proactive, compassionate care in a low-stress environment, allowing veterinarians to tailor their clinical experience to their preferences. This position is suitable for experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
The facility includes a six-exam-room wellness center with separate dog and cat exam rooms, one acupuncture/tech visit room, and a low-stress layout with no ringing phones on the main floor. The hospital also maintains a full-service space offering urgent care, surgery, and illness management. Equipment includes in-house labs (CBC, chemistry), digital radiology, ultrasound, digital dental X-ray, and a fully equipped surgical suite with monitoring equipment. Experienced veterinary technicians and assistants support workflow, offering curbside and in-person options, online booking, and text-based payment for efficient communication.

Team
The veterinarian will join a collaborative and skilled team of five DVMs and additional support staff, fostering a positive and mentoring-focused environment. The hospital is part of a larger veterinary network, providing access to resources, mentorship, and opportunities for professional growth.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
