Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a small animal practice seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team, offering flexible full-time or part-time opportunities working with dogs and cats.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering comprehensive general practice care, including wellness exams, preventive medicine, internal medicine, and a range of surgical procedures. Daily duties include diagnosing and treating various conditions, performing soft tissue and routine surgeries such as spays and neuters, and providing dental care including dental x-rays and periodontics. The role also involves utilizing advanced diagnostics such as imaging and endoscopy, administering anesthesia, managing pain, and supporting hospitalized patients. Strong client communication is essential, including explaining treatment plans, preventive care, and follow-up. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.
Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and is closed on weekends. The practice is equipped with advanced technology including digital radiology, ultrasound, echocardiography, EKG, endoscopy, and tonopen, alongside an in-house laboratory, pharmacy, and surgical suite. Services offered include advanced care such as soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, urology, and full diagnostics, as well as a comprehensive preventive care offering including vaccinations, parasite control, microchipping, and wellness testing. Additional services include dentistry, anesthesia, hospitalization, geriatric medicine, and routine surgeries. The practice supports a flexible and patient-focused approach to medicine within a structured and well-equipped environment.
Team
The team consists of 3 DVMs and a great tenured support team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
