Our client is a hospital looking to hire a full-time Associate Veterinarian. Treating dogs, cats, and pocket pets, this award-winning, full-service veterinary hospital has been serving Lancaster County since 1987. The practice takes a family-oriented, relationship-based approach to veterinary medicine, combining comprehensive clinical services with a commitment to compassionate, personalized care for every patient and client.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of General Practice responsibilities, providing preventative, diagnostic, medical, surgical, and dental care across a varied companion animal caseload. You’ll perform comprehensive wellness examinations, diagnose and manage illness and injury, formulate individualized treatment plans, provide vaccinations and preventative healthcare, perform surgical and dental procedures, and support patients through different life stages. The position also involves educating clients on areas such as preventative medicine, nutrition, pain management, and ongoing healthcare while building lasting relationships through clear and compassionate communication. You’ll work collaboratively with the wider veterinary and support team, with access to comprehensive in-house diagnostic capabilities to support clinical decision-making and patient care. The position is full-time and based on-site.

Practice Details
The hospital provides a comprehensive scope of GP services, including wellness and preventative care, vaccinations, dental care, diagnostic testing, surgery and anesthesia, spay and neuter procedures, pain management, dietary management, microchipping, senior wellness, and medical boarding. Additional services include therapeutic laser treatments and ultrasound, supporting the management of a broad range of routine and more involved medical cases. The practice is equipped with diagnostic and clinical equipment including, but not limited to, an in-house laboratory and pharmacy, digital radiography, tonometry, electrocardiography, ultrasonography, video endoscopy, and video otoscopy. The hospital is AAHA accredited, reflecting its commitment to established standards of veterinary care. Opening hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 7:30 PM, Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to noon.

Team
You’ll be joining a team of 3 veterinarians alongside experienced veterinary support staff who share a passion for delivering an exceptional experience for patients and clients. The hospital’s family-oriented approach places an emphasis on compassionate care, strong client relationships, and collaboration across the practice. The established team and comprehensive in-house capabilities provide a supportive clinical environment in which veterinarians can work collaboratively while delivering high-quality care to dogs, cats, and pocket pets.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
