Job Description

Introduction
Our client is an animal hospital that is hiring for a Lead Veterinarian. The hospital is a full-service clinic serving a rapidly growing community and is seeking a medical leader who can guide the team while supporting high-quality patient care and strong operational standards.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. This is a full-time position.

Role Description and Responsibilities
Clinical responsibilities include managing a varied caseload with both surgeries and appointments, overseeing the medical care of all patients, partnering with leadership to ensure medical quality, serving as the veterinarian of record for required permits and licenses, collaborating with the clinical team, assisting with staffing and scheduling, and supporting the growth of support staff. This role is open to experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
The hospital is a charming, feline-friendly facility equipped with digital radiology, ultrasound, and a dedicated surgery suite. Facilities include full-service offerings such as boarding, grooming, and laser therapy. The practice provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care and focuses on building lasting relationships within the community. Services offered include boarding, surgery, dentistry, microchipping and identification, vaccinations, parasite prevention and control, wellness exams, and nutrition.

Team
There is 1 DVM and a dedicated, highly trained support team.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
