Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital hiring an Associate Veterinarian. The practice provides primary care services to a diverse patient population, including cats, dogs, pocket pets, and birds, serving a community of approximately 60,000 people across Lancaster and York Counties. This role is well suited to veterinarians seeking a balanced schedule within a supportive and experienced clinical environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday to Wednesday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Thursday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, and Friday from 8:00am to 3:00pm. The hospital is closed on Saturdays and Sundays, with no on-call hours. Doctors work three days per week and participate in every third Saturday as outlined by the practice. The position is available on either a full-time or part-time basis.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering high-quality primary veterinary care across a varied caseload. Clinical responsibilities include wellness and preventive care, internal medicine, dentistry with dental radiography, anesthesia, general and routine surgical procedures such as spays and neuters, pain management, and geriatric medicine. The role also includes conducting health exams, issuing health certificates, managing hospitalized patients, and providing compassionate euthanasia services when required. This opportunity is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped to support comprehensive primary care services with a fully stocked in-house pharmacy, in-house laboratory capabilities, digital radiography systems, and an in-office surgical suite. Additional clinical resources include oxygen and transfusion therapy, full diagnostic services, radiology, and hospitalization facilities. Preventive care services include adult and senior wellness, vaccinations, parasite control, flea and tick prevention, microchipping, weight management programs, and wellness testing. The practice is AAHA accredited and affiliated with the Feline Veterinary Medical Association, reflecting a strong commitment to high standards of care and feline-focused medicine. Team
The team consists of two DVMs supported by a strong and experienced support staff. The working environment is collaborative and focused on delivering consistent, high-quality patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
