Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a small animal hospital seeking a full or part-time Associate Veterinarian to join their team, providing care for avians, cats, dogs, pocket pets, rabbits, and ZooMED species within a primary care setting.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering comprehensive veterinary care across a variety of species, including wellness exams, preventive medicine, diagnostics, dentistry, and surgery. Daily duties include diagnosing and treating medical conditions, performing routine surgical procedures such as spays and neuters, and managing cases from consultation through to treatment and follow-up. The role also involves maintaining accurate medical records, communicating effectively with clients, and working collaboratively with the team to ensure high standards of patient care. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday to Wednesday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Thursday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, and is closed on weekends. The practice is equipped with a fully stocked pharmacy, in-house laboratory capabilities, and digital x-ray systems. Services offered include preventive care, wellness exams, vaccinations, parasite control, weight management, diabetes management, allergy care, anesthesia, dental care and dental x-rays, full diagnostics, general surgery, geriatric medicine, hospitalization, in-house laboratory and pharmacy, oxygen and transfusion therapy, pain management, radiology, and routine surgeries including spays and neuters. The hospital is AAHA accredited and also recognized by the Feline Veterinary Medical Association. The practice serves a local population of approximately 60,000 people and emphasizes work-life balance, with doctors working three days per week and every third Saturday, and no on-call requirements.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
