Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for an Associate Veterinarian within a full-service veterinary environment. They provide care for a wide range of patient needs, offering services that include wellness, illness and injury support, imaging, surgery and dentistry.

Working Hours / Rota
This position can be full-time or part-time. The hospital is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 8:00am to 5:30pm, and it is closed on Thursdays and Sundays.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering excellent patient care through physical examinations, diagnosing and treating diseases and providing preventive care. Clinical responsibilities include routine and complex surgical procedures such as spays, neuters, abdominal exploratories and mass removals, as well as routine and complex dental procedures including full dental examinations, interpretation of dental radiographs and extractions. The role also includes developing diagnostic and treatment plans, documenting medical records thoroughly and transitioning patients to overnight or referral care when necessary. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital provides an immersive clinical environment supported by a wide range of diagnostic and surgical capabilities. Equipment includes ultrasound, heated hydraulic surgery tables and digital dental radiography. Facilities support advanced procedures and day hospitalization. Services offered include vaccinations, routine wellness, flea, tick and heartworm prevention, illness and injury care, imaging, surgery, dentistry and prescription medication. Team
The hospital is supported by a paraprofessional team encouraged to expand their skills in areas such as dentistry and nutrition.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
