Introduction
A modern veterinary hospital in Golden, Colorado is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its growing clinical team. The practice provides a combination of general practice and urgent care, creating a varied caseload for a veterinarian who enjoys preventative medicine alongside more complex same-day presentations. With a strong emphasis on clinical autonomy, high-quality medicine, and professional development, this is an excellent opportunity to practise in a contemporary environment where doctors are trusted to make decisions in the best interests of their patients. The hospital is open seven days a week from 8:00am to 6:00pm, providing extended access for clients without overnight hours.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you’ll manage a diverse companion animal caseload spanning wellness and preventative care, sick appointments, urgent cases, diagnostics, dentistry, and surgery. You’ll have the autonomy to develop individualised diagnostic and treatment plans while working closely with experienced veterinarians, technicians, and hospital leadership when collaboration is beneficial. Client education and relationship building are central to the role, with an emphasis on helping owners understand their options and make informed decisions about their pets’ care. You’ll also be encouraged to develop your own clinical interests through mentorship, collaboration, and extensive continuing education opportunities.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
