Job Description
Introduction
This established small animal hospital in Lakewood, Colorado is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join its five-doctor team. The hospital offers a collaborative environment with access to specialist radiology input, providing additional support when working through more complex diagnostic cases.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am to 2:00pm, with Sundays closed. The position is full-time, with the wider opening hours supporting a combination of scheduled general practice appointments and emergency cases.
Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you’ll provide comprehensive small animal medicine across wellness and preventative care, diagnostics, medical case management, surgery and emergency presentations. You’ll have autonomy over your cases while collaborating closely with the wider veterinary and support team, developing long-term client relationships and clearly communicating diagnoses and treatment options. More complex cases can benefit from access to a partnered board-certified radiology specialist, while continued professional development and mentorship are available to support your individual clinical interests.

The hospital has provided veterinary care to the Lakewood community for more than 55 years and currently has a five-doctor team. As a full-service practice, its clinical offering spans preventative medicine, testing and diagnostics, surgery, advanced care and emergency cases, providing doctors with a broad and varied caseload. The team places an emphasis on collaborative medicine, professional development and continuity of care.
