A modern veterinary clinic in Lakewood, Colorado is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its collaborative primary and urgent care team. This hospital is part of an innovative veterinary care model focused on combining accessible general practice with same-day urgent care services. Working Hours / Rota
The clinic provides primary and urgent care services with extended hours until 8:00pm, operating 365 days per year to support same-day access for patients. Veterinarians work structured 12-hour shifts with varied days across the week, typically 3–4 days per week for full-time roles, with weekends shared fairly among the team. The schedule is designed to support strong clinical coverage while maintaining a balanced workload without overnight responsibilities.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical care for companion animals across both general practice and urgent care caseloads. Responsibilities include wellness examinations, diagnostics, medical case management, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery. The position involves managing urgent presentations alongside preventative care, communicating clearly with pet owners regarding treatment plans, and collaborating closely with the clinical team to deliver efficient, high-quality patient care. Veterinarians are encouraged to contribute ideas that help improve workflows, protocols, and overall clinic performance.

Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
