Introduction
This well-established small animal hospital in Lakewood, Colorado is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join its team of two doctors. Serving the local community since 1998, the practice provides comprehensive general practice care alongside more advanced diagnostics and internal medicine, allowing its veterinarians to manage a varied caseload within a supportive clinical environment. The hospital places a strong emphasis on high-quality, compassionate medicine, collaboration and maintaining long-term relationships with clients and their pets.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am to 3:00pm, with Sundays closed. The position is full-time, with flexibility and sustainable scheduling highlighted as priorities for the team.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you’ll provide comprehensive medical and surgical care across wellness and preventative medicine, diagnostics, dentistry, internal medicine and surgery. You’ll be responsible for working cases from initial examination and diagnostic work-up through treatment and ongoing care, while communicating clearly with clients throughout the process. The role is suited to a veterinarian with at least one year of clinical experience who is comfortable with surgery and dentistry, with support available to continue developing individual clinical interests.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with an in-house laboratory, digital radiography, digital dental radiography and ultrasound, supporting both routine cases and more complex medical work-ups. You’ll work alongside another veterinarian and an experienced support team, including technicians skilled in anaesthetic monitoring, perioperative care and the management of hospitalised patients. The practice also works closely with local rescue organisations and has a longstanding presence within the Lakewood community, while providing its veterinarians with medical autonomy and opportunities for continued clinical development.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
