Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a modern, full-service veterinary practice hiring for an Associate Veterinarian. The clinic provides comprehensive care to dogs, cats, and select exotic species and is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join and support its growing clinical team.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with the practice closed on Sundays. The position is open to either full-time or part-time veterinarians.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will examine and treat companion animals to diagnose illness and injury, operate diagnostic equipment, collect and interpret diagnostic samples, and advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options. Responsibilities include performing surgery, prescribing medications as needed, and providing compassionate guidance around end-of-life care. The role also involves maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring compliance with veterinary ethics, policies, and procedures.

Practice Details
The practice is a warm, welcoming small animal and exotic animal clinic located in Lakeland, Florida, operating out of a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility. The hospital offers a broad range of services in a supportive, community-focused environment that blends compassionate care with advanced medicine. Equipment and services include digital radiography, ultrasound imaging, routine bloodwork, dentistry, spay and neuter procedures, soft tissue surgery, allergy and dermatology care, wellness and preventative services, and palliative and hospice care. The clinic also offers advanced therapies such as therapeutic laser treatments, stem cell therapy, and acupuncture. The practice is AAHA accredited and emphasizes high standards of medicine alongside a positive, team-oriented culture.

Team
The team currently consists of four DVMs supported by a strong, dedicated support staff. The environment is described as collaborative and supportive, with a focus on teamwork and delivering high-quality patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
