Introduction
Our client is a hospital in Lakeland, Florida, seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. This opportunity is ideal for veterinarians of all experience levels and offers the chance to work in a collaborative environment with a varied medical and surgical caseload, as well as support for professional development and growth.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. This is a full or time position.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The role will include managing a diverse caseload that covers appointments and surgeries during the hospital’s open hours. Key responsibilities include serving patients and clients through a relationship-based approach, collaborating with the clinical team and leadership, fostering community connections, and supporting the development of staff through an internal training program. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital spans 3,100 square feet and includes four exam rooms. It is equipped with fully electronic medical records running on Cornerstone and supported by a skilled veterinary team capable of running appointments, assisting in surgery, managing anesthesia, and performing dentistry. Services offered include emergency pet services, after-hours care, wellness exams, vaccinations, surgery, anesthesia, dental care, diagnostics and laboratory services, behavioral medicine, microchipping, parasite prevention, nutritional counseling, pain management, wound care, end-of-life care, and baths and nail trims. The hospital sees dogs, cats, exotics, avian, and pocket pets.

Team
The practice has three doctors supported by a highly skilled veterinary team that contributes to a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
