Introduction
Our client is a small animal hospital in Lake Wales, Florida, seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join its established team. The hospital has served the Lake Wales community for over 40 years, providing comprehensive veterinary care for dogs and cats while developing long-standing relationships with local families and their pets. This opportunity is open to veterinarians of all experience levels, including students and new graduates, with dedicated mentorship available.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical and surgical care across a varied small animal caseload, with opportunities to work across primary care, internal medicine, diagnostics, dentistry, general and soft tissue surgery, hospitalization, intensive care, geriatric medicine, pain management, dermatology, urology, and preventive healthcare. Doctors have opportunities to collaborate on cases and share knowledge while developing strong relationships with clients and their pets. The position is full-time, and both experienced veterinarians and new graduates are welcome.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped to manage a broad variety of medical and surgical cases and features a dedicated surgical suite, intensive care unit, and isolation room. Advanced diagnostic and clinical resources include digital radiography, ultrasound, OFA X-ray, Tonopen, cold laser therapy, modern dental and laser equipment, an on-site laboratory, and a fully stocked pharmacy. Services include advanced and primary care, dermatology, soft tissue surgery, allergy and itchy skin relief, anesthesia, dental care and dentistry, ear checks, euthanasia services, full diagnostics, general and routine surgery, geriatric medicine, health exams, hospice care, hospitalization, internal medicine, pain management, pet loss support, radiology, spays and neuters, and urology. The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with varying Saturday hours and is closed on Sundays.

Team
The hospital has 2 DVMs alongside a great tenured support team. The team is cohesive and values communication, collaboration, and supporting one another throughout the working day. Doctors are encouraged to collaborate on cases and share their knowledge, while students and new graduates receive dedicated mentorship to support their professional development.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
