Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their well-established small animal practice. This experienced team provides comprehensive wellness and preventative care, general medicine, and surgery for dogs and cats, serving a growing clientele in the Coachella Valley.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm and closed on weekends. Full-time and part-time options are available.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will manage cases involving dogs and cats, delivering services ranging from wellness care to complex medical and surgical cases. Responsibilities include providing primary care such as allergy and itchy skin relief, anesthesia, dental care, dental X-rays, dentistry, ear checks, emergency care, euthanasia services, full diagnostics, general surgery, geriatric medicine, health certificates and exams, hospitalization, in-house laboratory work, in-house pharmacy use, procedures in the in-office surgical suite, internal medicine, isolation ward care, oxygen and transfusion therapy, pain management, periodontics, radiology, routine surgeries, and spays and neuters. Advanced care capabilities such as advanced dental care, animal rehabilitation, bone and joint surgery, cold laser therapy, cryosurgery, diagnostic imaging, digital radiology, EKG, orthopedic surgery, soft tissue surgery, Tonopen use, and ultrasound are available but are not required to be performed.

Practice Details
The hospital features a state-of-the-art facility with on-site rehabilitation including an underwater treadmill and laser therapy, as well as boarding and grooming services. Equipment includes a dedicated dental suite, digital dental radiography, digital radiography, rehabilitation equipment, and orthopedic procedure equipment. The practice is AAHA accredited and offers services across advanced care and comprehensive primary care. The team is trained to the highest standards in preventive and healing care.

Team
The hospital has 3 DVMs supported by a team of 20 experienced professionals within a collaborative environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
