Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their small animal practice providing comprehensive veterinary care for dogs and cats. The hospital focuses on delivering medical, surgical, and dental services in a supportive and collaborative environment that prioritizes professional development and work-life balance.
Working Hours / Rota
The position offers full-time or part-time flexibility. The hospital operates Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Friday through Saturday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The hospital is closed on Sundays. The role includes a four-day work week with rotating Saturdays, supporting a balanced and sustainable schedule.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care for companion animals. Responsibilities include conducting wellness exams, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, performing surgical procedures such as spays and neuters, providing dental care, and utilizing diagnostic tools to support accurate treatment planning. The role also involves maintaining medical records, communicating treatment options with clients, and collaborating closely with technicians and hospital leadership to ensure efficient hospital operations and high standards of patient care.
Practice Details
The hospital provides comprehensive companion animal services including wellness exams, vaccinations, spay and neuter procedures, dental care, diagnostic testing, and advanced surgical services. Diagnostic capabilities include genetic testing, echocardiograms, rabies titers, and malignancy detection to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. The practice also provides osteoarthritis management through disease-modifying osteoarthritis drugs (DMOADs).

The hospital is supported by 3 DVMs and a great tenured support team, creating a collaborative and mentorship-focused environment where veterinarians can practice confidently and continue developing their clinical skills.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
