Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing care for small animal patients and is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team in Kittrell, North Carolina. This opportunity is available on either a full-time or part-time basis and is ideal for an experienced veterinarian looking to practice a broad spectrum of medicine within a supportive and collaborative environment. The hospital offers a true full-service setting where veterinarians can manage cases ranging from preventative care and dentistry to surgery, internal medicine, urgent care, and orthopedics.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical care while building strong relationships with clients and their pets. Responsibilities include conducting patient examinations and medical workups, performing diagnostic procedures and surgery, maintaining accurate medical records, prescribing medications in accordance with controlled substance protocols, and educating clients on treatment plans and preventative care. Additional responsibilities include monitoring hospitalized patients, participating in daily rounds when possible, promoting teamwork and staff efficiency, supporting hospital protocols, and collaborating with hospital leadership to maintain high standards of patient care. Clinical exposure includes preventative medicine, internal medicine, dentistry, surgery, urgent care, and orthopedic cases. This position is intended for experienced veterinarians.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
