Job Description

Introduction
This AAHA-accredited small animal hospital in Kirkland, Washington is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its team. The practice provides comprehensive care exclusively for dogs and cats and has developed a longstanding client base, with many families returning to the hospital for decades. Both experienced veterinarians and new graduates are welcome, with dedicated mentorship available for doctors at the beginning of their careers.

Working Hours / Rota
Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with flexibility around scheduling. The hospital’s current opening hours are Tuesday through Friday from 8:00am to 7:00pm, providing a four-day clinical week with the hospital currently closed Saturday through Monday.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you’ll provide comprehensive general practice medicine across a varied canine and feline caseload, including preventative and wellness care, diagnostics, treatment planning and surgery. Common presentations include senior pet care, allergies, ear conditions, gastrointestinal cases and parasite-related illness. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your clinical interests while collaborating with the wider veterinary and support team, with structured mentorship available for students and new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA accredited and equipped to support a broad range of small animal medicine, with ultrasound, digital radiology and surgical capabilities available in-house alongside hands-free radiology safety standards. The practice has served its local community for around 30 years and benefits from an established and loyal client base. The environment is centred around collaborative medicine, continued learning and giving veterinarians the clinical resources and support needed to provide consistently high-quality patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
