Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a well-established general practice located in Kingston, NH, seeking a part-time Associate Veterinarian to join their team. Serving the Kingston and Plaistow communities, the hospital is known for delivering high-quality veterinary care in a supportive and collaborative environment, with access to visiting orthopedic specialists and strong on-site mentorship from experienced doctors.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm and closed on weekends. This is a part-time position for up to 25 hours per week, with flexible scheduling options available. Surgical days are offered Monday through Friday, and the appointment volume averages around 15 appointments per day, with 30-minute appointment slots.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will manage a varied caseload, performing both general practice duties and surgeries, as well as interpreting lab results to support accurate diagnoses. Responsibilities include pet wellness visits, client education, developing and implementing medical protocols, and providing advanced surgical services such as bone fracture repair, cruciate repair, gastrointestinal surgery, and reproductive surgery. The role is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with mentorship readily available.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with digital radiography, electrocardiogram, a full in-house IDEXX laboratory, and a full-service pharmacy. Services offered include preventative medicine, behavioral counseling, pain management, nutritional counseling, microchipping, dentistry, and advanced surgical procedures such as femoral head osteotomy, medial patella luxation repair, splenectomy, and stenotic nares surgery. The practice maintains a 2:1 DVM-to-technician ratio, with five skilled technicians, several of whom are pursuing Certified Veterinary Technician credentials.

Team
The practice currently has three DVMs supported by a dedicated and skilled support team. The environment is collaborative, with a focus on mentorship, professional development, and high standards of patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
