Introduction
An established veterinary hospital in Kingsport, Tennessee is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its experienced team. Serving the local community since 1972, the hospital provides comprehensive veterinary care for dogs and cats with a focus on preventive medicine, client education and progressive patient care. Applications are welcomed from both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with the hospital combining a broad General Practice caseload.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of General Practice responsibilities, including wellness and preventive care, diagnostic investigation, treatment planning, dentistry, surgery and ongoing medical management. The successful veterinarian will take responsibility for patient care from diagnosis through treatment, with the clinical autonomy to make appropriate medical decisions and maintain high standards of veterinary care. Responsibilities also include developing long-term client relationships, communicating clinical findings and treatment recommendations clearly, and educating owners to support informed decision-making.

Practice Details
The hospital provides a full scope of GP services, alongside Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Acupuncture, Laser Therapy, Behavioral Care and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. The hospital is equipped to manage complex medical cases and perform a broad range of surgical procedures in-house, including Orthopedic and Laser Surgery. Equipment and clinical capabilities available include, but are not limited to, Digital Radiography, Ultrasound, Tonometry, ECG and In-House Laboratory Testing, alongside a Surgical Laser and modern anesthetic monitoring equipment. The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with the hospital closed on Sundays.

Team
The hospital has an established five-veterinarian team, supported by an experienced support team. The collaborative clinical environment provides new graduates with access to experienced veterinarians for clinical guidance and continued development, while experienced veterinarians have the autonomy to manage their own cases and further develop their individual clinical interests. The hospital places an emphasis on continuous learning, collaboration and professional development, providing a supportive environment for veterinarians at different stages of their careers.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
