Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Overnight Emergency Veterinarian to join its emergency team on either a full-time or part-time basis. Caring for dogs and cats, this AAHA Accredited hospital is looking for an experienced veterinarian who is passionate about emergency medicine and committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a collaborative, well-supported environment.
Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Overnight Emergency Veterinarian, you will provide emergency medical care for canine and feline patients, managing urgent and critical cases throughout overnight shifts. You will perform emergency procedures, interpret diagnostic imaging and in-house laboratory results, and develop treatment plans to stabilize and care for patients. The role requires working closely with the clinical team to deliver compassionate, high-quality emergency medicine while utilizing advanced diagnostic technology. This opportunity is suited to experienced veterinarians.
Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA Accredited and operates Monday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 AM, Tuesday through Thursday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 AM, opens Friday at 6:00 PM, and remains open 24 hours throughout Saturday and Sunday. Equipment includes advanced radiology, ultrasound, state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging technology, and an in-house laboratory. Services offered include emergency care medicine, emergency procedures, imaging, and in-house laboratory diagnostics. The hospital is committed to remaining at the forefront of diagnostic technology, providing advanced tools to support accurate diagnosis and high-quality emergency care in a veterinarian-focused environment.
Team
The team consists of 4 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team. The hospital fosters a collaborative and compassionate culture where veterinarians are supported both professionally and personally while delivering exceptional emergency care.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
