Introduction
An AAHA-accredited small animal hospital that has been caring for the Kent community since 2013 is looking to hire an Associate Veterinarian. Providing care for dogs and cats, the hospital has grown considerably over the years while keeping the friendly, relationship-focused feel that has always been an important part of the practice. It’s a well-established hospital that combines high-quality medicine and modern technology with a more personal approach to veterinary care, making this a great opportunity for someone who wants strong clinical resources without losing that close-knit practice environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of General Practice responsibilities, giving you the opportunity to take ownership of a varied caseload and make the clinical decisions you feel are right for your patients. You’ll be involved across general medicine, diagnostics, surgery, and dentistry, with the hospital well set up to allow its veterinarians to manage a broad range of cases in-house. There’s also access to additional specialist input when a case would benefit from it, giving you another layer of clinical support while still allowing you to remain closely involved in your patients’ care. The opportunity is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with the wider clinical environment providing plenty of opportunity to learn from those around you, build confidence, and continue developing your own areas of interest.

Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA accredited and provides a full scope of GP services, alongside more advanced care including Urgent Care and laser therapy. Equipment available includes, but is not limited to, Digital Radiography, Digital Dental Radiography, Ultrasound, and an IDEXX In-House Laboratory, giving the team strong diagnostic capabilities within the hospital. The practice also benefits from state-of-the-art surgical equipment and has continued to expand its facilities as the hospital has grown. The hospital is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Team
You’ll be joining a team of 4 DVMs, including a Medical Director, alongside 5 Licensed Veterinary Technicians, a wider team of Veterinary Assistants, and an established client service team. There’s a good mix of experience across the hospital, giving you people to bounce ideas off, talk through cases with, and turn to when another perspective would be useful. The wider culture is centred around working closely together while giving people the opportunity to use and develop their skills, with an emphasis on continued growth, good relationships, and creating an environment where people can work hard while still enjoying being part of the team.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
